Downpours ahead! - It is officially time to pack your bags!

According to the latest reports the next few months here in the UK will continue in the style of yesterdays downpours. According to weather experts we will see much more rain throughout the summerwet and warm conditions with the odd sunny spells inbetween.

If you want sunshine you will have to pack your bags and seek distant shores. I myself am flying to Sweden next week and I am hoping for sunshine! Unfortunately my cat doesn’t get the chance of escape. She sits at home on the windowsill observing the miserable wetness that is taking place outside. When she HAS to go out she comes in a few seconds later mewing and demanding to be dried off. She is pretty special – and spoiled.

The bad weather has got one good side-effect for me: At least the constant rain means that I do not have to water my vegetable garden every morning – The Great British weather is taking care of the watering can duties for me! My peas and beans look poorly, while my spring onions, rocket salad and courgettes are doing extremely well.

Instead of using growbags as I had originally planned, a friend has knocked me together a box from some wood. But a few growbags would have done just as good! You can see it on the attached pictures – which are a couple of weeks old I am afraid – the plants are even bigger now! The second picture is of my blue Clematis. So pretty!
