Bad Weather makes people eat more chocolate

winter blues

More Britons tucked into chocolate, cakes and other 'comfort food' this summer to beat the bad weather blues, a survey claims. Around 50 per cent of adults said they ditched their usual summer diets of salads, fruit and vegetables in favour of sweets and carbohydrates. Most people at chocolate bars, while nine per cent enjoyed more pasta and bread. The lack of sunshine was also to blame for lower productivity at work by 32 per cent of people, while 43 per cent opted to stay at home rather than go out with friends and avoid the rain, according to supermarket Somerfield.
