Only one week to go before we watch the final of the European championship on a big field in Somerset - Not to mention all the bands!! The question is: Will we be standing in the mud or on dry ground?

Will Glastonbury 2008 break the bad weather spell that has been lying on Glastonbury the past 5 years? The way things look now, the weather at Glastonbury will be only marginally better than last year... For details see below.

For weeks I have been following any news about the Glastonbury weather and now the first detailed reports are emerging with more detailed forecasts.

According to Metcheck the weather will be mixed but not all that bad! Here are the details:

Thursday 26th June in Glastonbury:

At first some bright sunshine in the morning, then towards the afternoon some light clouds with rain in the evening!

Thursday 's wind direction: south westerly wind (6mph)

According to farmer Michael Eavis it will be dry this year! His reasoning behind this is the old saying: "oak before ash, then we'll only have a splash" is true, as this spring has seen an abundance of early oak leaves! Is this just an attempt to sell the remaining tickets?
MetOffice aren't so confident that it will be dry...

Friday looks like there will be some light drizzle in the morning and a few scattered clouds - from lunchtime on it should be dry!

Light showers will continue from Friday night until about lunchtime. It stays cloudy but the temperatures should be ok.

Another day permeated with drizzle: pretty cloudy and some light showers on and off to the end!
