The London Weather Station

The temperatures have been going down as you might have noticed and it has been pretty dismal outside already pre Easter. Well, things are about to take a turn for even worse - just in time for the Easter weekend.

Not just London, but most of the country is expected to experience "raw" wintry conditions. This is bad timing for everyone, but will especially hit motorists as many people are planning to take trips to visit families and friends for the extended bank holiday weekend. Sleet and icy stretches will make the roads a dangerous place to be.

It is a cold northerly flow that is bringing us the widespread sleet and snow showers. But there will be some sunny spells – but not much warmth!

This is ironic since good Friday is officially the start of spring – this year it turns out to be the return of winter… I am glad that I have decided to plant my vegetable seeds in pots inside my conservatory for now and not outside in the garden yet. My spinach has started growing and I do not think that it would have appreciated a cold Easter weekend much.

I have not much planned so I am looking forward to spending some time in the company of my cat - she does not like the cold much and will be a lazy indoor couch potato for sure!
