The London Weather Station

One day early spring I was sat in central London in one of the many beautiful parks enjoying the beautiful summer sun! It was a lovely day and I was really looking forward to the summer being a good one as the “2007 summer” was quite frankly awful! Low and behold 2008 really wasn’t that much better! We had about 2 weeks of good weather before it started all going wrong. I think next year I’m going to book a holiday abroad as I used to get away much more and missed the English summers. Not any more, two bad British summers back to back is enough in anyone’s life time... More than enough. :)

I know you probably hear it a lot but I seriously don’t how scientists can argue global warming is changing the climate, making it hotter? Ever since I’ve been made aware of this all that seems to happen is people point out it’s just getting colder or simply we’re getting no summer sun whatsoever!? Maybe it’s all a big conspiracy to make us stay in England to expect a good summer and spend all our holiday money here?! Well it’s a thought? :)

I’m really looking forward to what the summer Olympics in 2012 has to hold for England. It was reported that the Chinese used “weather cannons” to “seed” rain clouds, a controversial technique developed to try and dry out the condensation in the air and clouds to stop rain fall, still not proved it actually works, but It seemed to do the trick for the opening ceremony! I think in England come 2012 we’ll need to borrow all Chinas weather cannons and some more to prevent a washout if the past two summers are anything to go by!
