The London Weather Station

Just a quick note of warning… as you can see:

The weather forecast looks very bad for the next few days. Therefore the Met has issued a severe weather warning not just for London, where 5mm of rain came down in the short space of time of two hours before even 7am!

(Proudly I can report that our very own weather station got wind (haha – bad pun!) of the rainy weather too – but it measured 14.5mm total rain in the last 24 hours – does that sound right?). This does not quite beat Devon and Cornwall where in some parts more than 20mm of rain fell early on Tuesday morning – especially not fun when you are camping in a tent!

Nut the rain is obviously not a laughing matter for people living in high flood risk areas as there is indeed a risk of flooding. In addition to that gale force winds in the South West and across the Channel. The only part of the country likely to avoid the bad weather was Northern Scotland, with the region remaining dry.

My growbag trays are full of water –saves me watering the vegetable patch! I will try and remember to take a picture of it tonight – It is unrecognizable in comparison to last time I took one – It looks like a jungle!
